02/07/2021 Kate Jenkins

I am excited to be part of the Textile Biennial 2021 at the Museum Rijswijk which opens 29th August and runs until 16 January 2022.

The topic of the Biennial is Food for Thought. Twenty artists including myself will be showing their vision on food production and consumption.

I am thrilled to be exhibiting my project “The Art of Shelf Isola-tin and Social Distance-tin’ I created during the lockdown of 2020.

Many artists worldwide are working on the subject as food and this exhibition shows an interesting selection of the. There are four sub-themes: Abundance & Discomfort, Inquisitive & Activist, Identity and Comfort/Punishment/Sin/Penance.
