We have just returned from an exciting week in Barcelona launching my new exhibition ‘Kate’s Bakes’ a knitted and crocheted bakery that made it’s debut in Barcelona at the Hand Made Festival 3rd-5th May.
Taking just over four months to complete, the installation featured over 500 pieces of knit and crocheted pieces all inspired by the world of baking.
I was delighted to see the public’s reaction last week which was that people actually thought it was a real patisserie counter and bread shop which pleased me greatly.
My plan for the next year is to tour this wonderful collection of new work so look out for posts when I have more definite locations.
